Escaping Boredom

Sakura yawned as she crawled out of her bed and to her closet. She'd not gotten in her 5 hours of sleep and was dragging this morning. After getting dressed, having a big breakfast with a lot of sugar, she was ready to go and seemed better than ever.

Sakura walked outside, looked around, and sighed. She was pleading that today wouldn't be another boring one. Sakura was also hoping that she'd do well on the Genin test. Sure, the first missions she'll ever go on are D-Ranked, but it was better than having to stay at the Academy. Who knows, she might even get a lot of C-Ranked and possibly, but not likely, a B-Ranked Mission. Sakura walked on, thinking about what it would be like to be a Genin.

Kita was getting up to go to the academy as well, it had been a rather dull night so she had been looking forward to the morning, but now that it had come, it wasn't as fun as expected. Kita didn't really feel like going to the academy, but it was the first day, so it would be good if she made a brief appearance, but she had better things to do anyways... Kita sighed, her eyes roaming to the picture on her dresser, it was about time she visited mom anyways...

Jira awoke with a start as he realised he had slept in. He hurried to get dressed and ran out the door, still buttoning his pants. He ran down the street and slid to a stop at the academy, but nobody was there. Jira smacked himself in the head, forgetting that he hadnt fixed his clock in daylight savings time, and was always an hour early. He sat down, and in the distance he saw two figuires walking straight towards the academy.
"Perfect....." Jira complained "it's that girl that stole my hair."

Kita was walking and saw that guy she stole the hair from again. She really wasn't in the mood for this... kita sighed and walked on, hoping he hadn't seen her, he was such a boyscout, he'd probably tell her to go to school or something.

Sakura walked a little ways behind another girl and could see someone else already up at the academy. She wondered why everyone was coming so early. Whatever the reasone, it would probably keep her distracted until it was time to head to class. Sakura walked a little faster until she had caught up to the girl in front of her.

"Hi, I'm Sakura. Who might you be?" Sakura asked with a small smile on her face.

Jira looked from behind his hair as the girl walked past and sat at the bench opposite him.
"So what do you want THIS time....a finger??" Jira said, his eyes half shut. d**n, he thought to himself. He didnt want to go to the academy, he was already good enough to be a Chunin, or at least thats what they told him.
Jira got up from his seat, pacing back and forth. He wanted to leave, to get away from this girl, from this school, from this stupid city that he had gotten to, unable to return to the place where the people he loved resided. 'Thats it,' he thought again, 'I'm going home and getting my sword...' In a flash of lightning, he had taken off across the rooftops, leaving the girl behind him. 'Maybe THEN I can get some respect in this place'
